The need to focus on your Job Search

When you commence your Job Search it is important that you have a clear idea of the sort of job that you want. This will enable you to focus on job opportunities that will give you exactly what you want.

The key is to be focused about your job search.

Consider the following to ensure your objectives will meet your requirements:

  • Salary level/package /bonuses (what limits will you consider?)
  • What sector(s) are you prepared to consider?
  • Which geographical areas are you prepared to work in?
  • What type of work are you prepared to consider? (People focused; managerial; administrative; technical; analytical?)
  • What hours and times are you prepared to work? (shifts; overtime; flexible working hours, hybrid working arrangement?)
  • What skills do you want to use? What are they?
  • What company values are important to you?
  • Are you looking for an opportunity that includes career development? Is this important to you…or not?

Found this useful?

I would love to hear from you.
